As the name suggests, The Wee Restaurant is small, with just 40 covers.
Established in 2006 by husband and wife Craig and Vikki Wood, our ethos is to serve good, simple food and wines in a truly relaxed atmosphere.
The restaurant setting is idyllic and definitely worth the short train journey from Edinburgh or from further afield.
CHEF CRAIG WOOD
Craig's career has seen him work in some of the country's most respected kitchens including Restaurant Martin Wishart, the Royal Scotsman train and the Crinan Hotel.
He is a hands-on chef proprietor who is passionate about the quality of both the food and the service offered in The Wee Restaurant.
We're a small, friendly team who love working together to make your dining experience as special as possible.
Front-of-house is overseen by chef Craig's wife Vikki, whilst restaurant manager Alasdair Campbell ensures the smooth running of the restaurant.
Craig's sous chef Sam Dorey is an integral part of the busy kitchen who is confident at the helm of the ship when Craig has a rare day off!
