Thursday 24 April, 6.30pm - 8.30pm (doors open 6.15pm-9pm), £10

Many of you will have enjoyed eating Craig's food in the restaurant, but I bet a few of you would like to see how it's done. Soon you will have the chance as he's hosting a masterclass at Hopetoun Farm Shop on Thursday 24 April.

The topic is venison - one of Scotland's most tasty, and healthy, natural resources. If you like it, but are never really quite sure how to cook it at home, this event is definitely for you. The shop's award-winning butcher will also be there to help you choose cuts if you feel inspired enough to recreate Craig's recipes at home.

Craig will demo a variety of dishes, including venison tortellini with cauliflower cream and aged balsamic vinegar, roast loin of venison with risotto of wild mushrooms and truffle vinaigrette, and a carpaccio of venison with chilli, garlic, coriander and lemon-roasted asparagus. And is if that wasn't enough to get your tastebuds tingling, Neil Robertson from WoodWinters will also be there with a selection of matching wines for you to try alongside tasters of Craig's dishes.

To reserve a place, please call Hopetoun Farm Shop on 01506 830716.
